Post mock Exam. Revising the clip, Sexuality

Butch
Victim
Permiscus
threat and abnormal

Mise-en-scene

The Mise en Scene shows that they are both feminine and gentle. This is because The costumes are silken and one women has a shorter dress. This would portray the stereotype of the relationship between the two women as sympathetic but it may also show the relationship as sexualised when one woman hovers her hand over the other.

The prop shows red paint. this could show portray lust or love because red is associated with these themes. Also the red paint dripping on the paint dress is associated with the theme that she is innocent and that she is somehow now damaged or dirty

The women is the victim/sympathetic. The silk of the costume is soft. They are doing it indoors and not out doors because they dont want other people to see it so you feel sympathy for them because it is frowned upon.

Camera Editing

The mirror is fuzed up because she cant make up her mind wether she is gay or straight. The man is higher because it shows that he is a hetrosexual man and he is higher up in society. The close up with the paint on the dress is because it shows her sexuality as a women and her vunerability.
